Unity Gems create beauty and income for Unity by the Sea

A small group of Unity by the Sea ladies (nicknamed The Unity Gems) have been working behind the scenes to make and sell beautiful jewelry and crafts to raise funds for the church.    They have sold jewelry in the bookstore as well as at outside venues, and have plans for taking their items to more community events.   Most recently they participated in the local Art Walk event downtown.     The group began as a class which still meets Mondays at 6:30 p.m. for jewelry making and  fellowship.  Their teacher, Gloria Esquivel,  shares her jewelry making knowledge and expertise and helps participants create beautiful professional quality jewelry.
The group may be small, but they are making a big impact!   So far,  they have raised over $1,000 for Unity by the Sea from sales of their beautiful creations.  These funds are being used for the creation of a new community labyrinth at Unity!    If you are interested in buying jewelry  ~ please stop by our bookstore where you can see some of the beautiful pieces made by the Gems.   For more information about the class, you may call the office at 361-882-8363.
