Unity Spiritual Ministry Teams
Our belief is that a church is not a building, but a community of people, each member gifted by the spirit with time, talents and treasure to share. Church is a place where we can express our gifts in *service with creativity, enthusiasm, and love.
The governance of Unity by the Sea is primarily built upon the empowerment of our volunteer ministry teams. These teams are listed below.

OPPORTUNITIES AND POSSIBILITIES DREAM TEAM MINISTRY
The Opportunities and Possibilities Dream Team supports Unity by the Sea’s mission by sharing opportunities for spiritual growth, joyful fellowship, and service with the Unity, local and world communities. The team raises public awareness of Unity by the Sea and makes information about Unity available as a resource for daily living.
PROSPERITY MINISTRY TEAM
The Prosperity Ministry Team’s purpose is to support Unity by the Sea’s mission by promoting the spiritual principles of prosperity consciousness, which creates trust, responsibility and accountability. The team provides stewardship for the financial records and operations of our spiritual home.
YOUTH AND FAMILY MINISTRY TEAM
The Youth and family Ministry Team’s purpose is to support Unity by the Sea’s mission by inspiring our young people to develop a personal relationship with God. They are encouraged to discover and draw upon the Truth within.
PRAYER CHAPLAIN MINISTRY TEAM
The Prayer Chaplain Ministry Team’s purpose is to support Unity by the Sea’s mission through affirmative prayer, reaffirming Wholeness and Oneness as our Divine Birthright.
WELCOME MINISTRY TEAM
The Welcome Ministry Team’s purpose is to support Unity by the Sea’s mission by ensuring that all who enter our spiritual home experience our warm and loving hospitality. We help others know that they have come home.
BUILDING AND GROUNDS MINISTRY TEAM
The Building and Grounds Ministry Teams’ purpose is to support Unity by the Sea’s mission by creating and maintaining a sacred space—a safe, peaceful and beautiful environment in which to practice Unity principles.
BOOKSTORE MINISTRY TEAM
The Bookstore Ministry Team’s purpose is to support Unity by the Sea’s mission as a resource center of unity principles and universal wisdom. It provides new and used books, audio and DVD selections and gifts which are spirituality aligned with love, joy, and peace. The bookstore team also maintains our lending library which features metaphysical and other spiritual books.
SUNDAY SERVICE MINISTRY TEAM
The Sunday Service Ministry Team’s purpose is to support Unity by the Seas’ mission by providing the weekly lesson and message of Oneness and Love through inspiring speakers, audio recording, power point, music, and platform support.
Meet Our Spiritual Leader
Jeanne Gardiner, LUT
Spiritual Leader-Unity By The SeaJeanne has been a member of UBTS for about 12 years. Jeanne’s family was introduced to Unity by her grandmother many moons ago. Unity has been a way of life for them. Jeanne states, “It was wonderful to find this church when I moved to Corpus Christi from Indiana! It has given me an opportunity to learn and serve at the same time.”
